pole work

Welcome to A.P Equine & Canines pole work page. Take a look below at our demonstrative pole work videos designed to explain the use of pole work in rehabilitation and strength and conditioning.

Please note novice and green horses have been used in the majority of these video so as to provide a true representation of how horses frequently start off when introduced to pole work. Therefore, we have kept the odd trips, miss steps and postural changes in the video content, this we hope will set realistic expectations for individuals using pole work as part of thier ridden and non ridden routines. Over time your horse becomes stronger, better coordinated and balanced the frequency of mishaps should reduce, just remember… be patient, support and encourage!!

Great for working on lateral spinal flexion, balance stability and coordination.
